Caring for your tree

HERE ARE SOME HELPFUL HINTS ON GETTING THE BEST OUT OF YOUR TREE.

1.) Your Christmas tree is like a cut flower, the sooner you get the base into water, the longer it will stay fresh.

2.) If the base of the tree has dried out, refresh the cut by taking a further centimetre or two off the base. This will enable the tree to take up water.

3.) Before taking the tree into the house, we recommend you check it for insects, spiders or snails and lightly spray it with a household insecticide if necessary. After all, …..the trees are grown outdoors.

4.) After spraying the tree, leave it outside for a little while to allow the spray to have its desired effect and odour to dissipate.   (PREFERABLY while keeping it in water of course)

5.) When fitting the tree into the base, make sure it is WELL SECURED AND BALANCED so it can't fall down. This is especially important if you have young children or pets in the house.

6.) Keep the tree away from direct sunlight as this will cause the tree to wilt more quickly and the needles would also start browning and fall off.

7.) Regularly check the water level and top up as required. You will be amazed how much water they take up.

ENJOY YOUR TREE AND HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS
